Since Jan 14, 201, I have a request to connect from somebody I do not know. It has been impossible to delete this invitation. Any clue how to do it?

Can't you deny the invitation? Or decline it?
Yes, you can. Go into the invite tab, tap on the person you wish to cancel your invitation to & tap cancel invite.
