So for the first time today I shared a BBM channel post with a bunch of my BBM contacts. These folks are on different devices - BlackBerry, Apple and Android. Here's the issue for this novice BBMer (me).

I got a response from someone on an Apple phone asking me a question. When I replied I noticed it went to everyone I had sent the Channel link to. I was surprised because I thought I'd get a one on one message even though I had selected multiple contacts. I then checked my history and it said I had invited all these folks to a chat. A group chat was not what I was expecting.

So did I simply not understand the basics here? It's quite possible.

You have have groups' group chat, you can have "group chat" which is multiple people on the same chat, like an old fashionate chat room and you can have one-on-ones.

When you shared the channel, you probablly made a "chat room". And when you replied, it was to the response on that room.

You can always add more contats to any convo in BBM.
