Can anyone explain the differences here?

I just tried updating one of our Z30's to 10.3.3 it now says it's running OS 10.3.3.2205, but the Software Release is 10.3.1.1767.

Looking at our other Z30's running 10.3.2 the OS is 10.3.2.2876 and the Software Release is 10.3.2.2836, this seems to make more sense because they're both 10.3.2.

I'm confused because the "update" seems to have a software release that's older than what it's updating.

Can anyone shine some light on this?

The Software Release number represents a particular pairing of an OS and a radio file.

For instance, software release 10.3.2.2836 represents the package containing OS 10.3.2.2876 and radio 10.3.2.2877.

As to why your OS says 10.3.3.2205 and your Software Release is reporting something other than 10.3.3.1463, is because you don't have the proper radio file installed (10.3.3.2206).

Thanks. The update was done via LINK, so what do you think....factory reset and then try to reload? It says it's got the latest load on there, but obviously it's having problems.

Is there any reason the radio file wouldn't have been updated?

Radio: 10.3.3.2206.

The phone keeps indicating that there is an available update to software release 10.3.3.1463, but that it needs wifi or link....when connected to link, it indicates it has the latest software.

You may have a small update to the carrier files. In any event, reboot your device and see if anything changes. If it still asks for an update, let it happen over WiFi.

Thanks. Once a sim was put in it seemed to finish the update. Must have been the carrier files as you indicated. Thanks for the help.

Just an update....the device started acting funny about half an hour later. Eventually it bricked itself. Did a full battery discharge, then a full recharge today. It booted, and the screen came back, but it wasn't responsive to touch input. Did a reset using the volume keys several times, couldn't get the touch input to respond. Attempting a reload via LINK right now.

I'm fearful this has something to do with building on top of 10.3.1 that was factory loaded. I've heard of a number problems with that build.
