I had an old torch that did that. It turned out that the battery had degraded and wasn't holding as much of a charge as the phone thought it should have. Do you have and have you tried a different battery?

I was just searching about the same problem im having with my z30. Seemed to start about a week ago. I wiped it and reloaded the OS, same issue. I think my battery is toast
