    My phone got damp but not really wet yesterday. Last night I noticed a weird shaped shadow on the screen. The phone works fine but the shadow is bugging me.

    I turned it off this morning and put it in rice for the day -- about 8 hours. Hoping that would get the 'damp' out and remove the shadow -- no luck.

    Does anyone have any ideas? Should I take this to a cell phone repair place? I don't want to try and open it.

    when phones get wet the suggestions is to leave it there for 36-72 hours.
