Updated my Classic to OS 10.3.3 and it was slow for about 2 weeks. Then it seemed to settle down. Over the weekend, it re-booted, and remains stuck at the "finalizing device setup" mode. I have tried to reload through BB Link to no avail. Can't really shut it down, since holding various keys (power, volume, etc.) just puts it in re-boot format, and it starts through the cycle again. Am I hosed, or is there any potential workaround? Any input is appreciated.

    Thanks

    best bet is to autoload.

I had this and ended up reinstalling the operating system. I'd read about it and the consensus was this was the only way to resolve it. Not even a phone wipe did it.

H'mm, "exe" file never has a chance to run? As soon as power supplied to Classic, it starts on it's own internal OS. The auto-load function does not seem to work. Trying various ways to power down to no avail, as it starts on the loop again. Not sure if another way to interrupt the normal start-up process to take over the device? Thanks

Finally got to "Connecting to BootROM" on autoloader, then nothing happens?
