My BBQ10 Battery life is now almost nonexistent, I've tried a different battery to no avail, as well as using the "Battery Saving Mode". For a long time this phone had the best battery life I'd ever seen, and up till it I'd owned an iPhone, Samsung Android, Sony, and an old Nokia (you know the ones). I don't know what the deal is, so I'm asking for the community's help/advice. I use the official charger, and official battery, and I've never seen the battery drain so quickly. I haven't added any new apps, and I keep the OS up to date. Does anyone have some advice for battery life or knowledge of what may have changed? Thanks in advance for your help.

Me and my friend, Z10 and Q10, both living in different parts of our country, experienced weird sudden loss of battery life.

It was over last two weeks. It weirdly went away just as it began.

Maybe you are experiencing a similar thing?

My Classic has held a good charge for months, but just this week started draining very quickly, though nothing else has changed. Even battery save mode and disabling location services does not offer much help.

System is usually about a 7% drain, next up is display, everything else is less than 1%.

Edit: Wrong tab, I'm uploading a Screenshot of the last 48 hours:

Sounds normal. Your OS is up to date meaning you're on 2639?
If not then I'd update to that and then get the 799 radio.
It's usually the radio that kills your battery so finding the right one is crucial.
My next thought would be an old bad battery, or a loose battery since yours can be pulled out. But I would try the software first then check the hardware if it doesn't help.

I'm running 2639 with the 799 radio and have experienced a great battery life with the combo as well as others reporting the same.

    Top five:
    System 105
    Standby 22
    PIM Services 16
    Display 14
    Phone 12

Edit: Software Version is 2556, I keep forgetting how bad AT&T is about pushing out the new BlackBerry updates. According to the device and desktop manager that version is the latest, though they can only go by what the carrier gives them.

System at 105 is not normal.
There's something or things running in the background constant. Do settings - app Manger - app permissions and turn off everything running in the background (android apps running when closed).

I've only got two apps with that permission, both are presently off. Is there any other explanation?

P.S, Thanks, you're seriously the most helpful person I've ever run into on a help forum. I appreciate you.

Actually forget that last question. If you did an ota update then I'm going to say that's the issue. When I got my Verizon update ota the System and memory were bugged out like that too. With the ota it sucks up way more system resources than it needs to I'm not sure why.

I don't know if you're familiar with autoloaders but that would be the best course of action. Using the latest beta leak 2639 your system resources will fall back in line and they fixed the double typing issue too, Yay!

Edit: I've never been one to mess with a BlackBerry, but since the practice seems common place nowadays I guess I could give it a shot. Do you have any suggestions? I imagine the files can be found on CB, right?

    Thanks again.

I agree. On 2639/2640 until yesterday when I downgraded radio to. 799. What an improvement. T-Mobile signal reception better and battery discharging 25% slower. Great improvement so far. Today is day 2 of test.
