[CrackBerry Question]

I purchased a brand new unlocked ATT Blackberry Priv from a seller in Montreal. It is a fabulous phone. I love it. All I did was insert a Telus SIM and all is good.

However, the more I research the more confusing it becomes as to how, or even when, Android will be updated. It is currently 5.1.1. Nothing wrong with it but it would be nice to be up to date.

One person stated that all I have to do is call Blackberry Support and register my phone and (ta-da) it will be updated by Blackberry.

Does anybody know the answer to this?

My understanding is that while it is Carrier Unlocked, you can only get updates through AT&T's network -- meaning you need an active AT&T sim to receive updates.

If you complete your membership with CrackBerry you could post this question in the Priv Forum where other people who also have AT&T Privs will see it.
