Is it me, or are there a considerable amount of copied apps in the BlackBerry App world? For instance, look at this. http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59961921 ,now look at this: http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/59958979 how is this possible and why have I seen a lot of apps that are merely copies? Is this a security issue? Should I be afraid to download one? I paid for the 99 cent one. And looking through the app list in made for BlackBerry, I noticed the copy pasted look. What's up with this?

I would imagine any actively maintained app would have the developer up in arms about being plagiarised, but it would probably be their responsibility to report the clone. BlackBerry would have to act on reports of copyright infringement. But really, since the apps are supposedly inspected and approved before display in BBW, this sort of thing should raise a red flag well before then.
Inaction in this regard is yet another thing that could deter developers from the platform.

With that said, the cynic in me would also speculate that at least some of these apps are clones made by the original developer. By adding similar apps under different names you give the illusion of choice for a minimal outlay, plus increase the odds that one of your clones will be purchased over one by the competition.
