It means you app can use location services / GPS to note where you are, such as for your Maps or social media postings or image META tags.

Please be more specific. With Android apps, you have a choice to either grant all of the permissions asked for or don't install the app. BlackBerry native apps let you choose which permissions to grant. For example, an app will probably run ok if you turn off bbm permissions but a map app won't work as a sat nav if you don't allow location services. If a game wants your location, then you can be justifiably suspicious.

There's an app (the name slips my mind -__-) that allows setting individual permissions for Android apps.
