    I would like to know if I can use it with Verizon in the US? Also, I assume the other party needs to have the same technology?

    It's not generally available to consumers, and the Secusmart hardware has been expensive in the past. Unless you're accessing government secrets on your handset you'll be better served finding a less expensive option.
