I currently use one of the retired-model Otterbox rubber cases for my BB 9900. It's the Commuter Series (I think) - the really thick bouncy rubber case, and it has helped my BB survive everything - snow, cars, overnight stays outdoors in the driveway, falls from the purse, dropping a gazillion times, bouncing off the road when I open the car door, etc.

Now that I've just ordered my BB Classic (am salivating!)..I want to find a similar type of case for the classic. Obviously Otterbox has no interest in making this type anymore.

I hate the newer style thin, hard-cover cases on the market at the moment - don't think they give enough protection and are not comfortable to hold in my hand.

Does anyone know of any Classic case on the market that's worth checking out?
    Thanks!

Would something like the OEM Soft Shell Case work for you?
BlackBerry Soft Shell Case (Translucent Black) (ACC-60086-001) for Classic | BlackBerry Skin Cases | CrackBerry Canada
They are not as thick as the silicone cores used in the Otterbox Commuters, but they aren't hard like the snap on style cases either.
