Can anyone shed some light on this watch?

It doesn't run android wear, and it's round so I prefer the look over the pebble selection.

Any chance it would be able to work with the talk 2 watch apps that allow the pebble to work well? Not sure if it needs the Google services like the Moto 360 and the others.

    (hope the link is ok)

    Thanks, Mike

Not sure but really, the watch isn't the problem. The apps it needs only support iOS and Android, so that's where the failure point would be.

For the record, Alcatel makes the crappiest products. I wouldn't put my money on it even if it did work.

    I see, well maybe someday.

I agree on where you are coming from about the build quality of their phones, but this watch doesn't look half bad in videos.

Oh well, I only want one so I can kid myself into thinking it's a moto 360 working with my passport.

    Thanks, Mike

Yeah, the wrist band USB cable is a neat idea.

It does look interesting, perhaps it could work, I guess you'll have to try it!

Although convenient, I wouldn't want the watch hanging out of a wall outlet haha. There's also a metal band version but I'm not sure how that would connect.

Must have a different connection on that model. The operating system looks well thought out in my opinion, a little like those horizontal scrolling iPod nano 6th gens people used as a watch for short while. Screen doesn't look too high resolution in videos, though it boasts good battery life.

CNET bashes the custom operating system as "a lot less easy to use casually than, say, the Pebble watch" with the way it manages notifications.

I'm still intrigued although I don't want to find it doesn't work after purchasing.
