When I tried to attend my tutorial yesterday through my BlackBerry it suggested me to have Adobe 11.2 or higher. I tried downloading the higher version of the pre installed flash but it failed. Folks what can I do about it?

11.2 is the last version of Flash for mobile and Linux. You will not be able to update the Flash version on your handset, and 10.3.1 will officially be removing Flash from the OS.

Everyone is abandoning Flash. It is error-prone, resource-heavy and outdated. Those errors should only pop up for a short time, while everyone transitions away from Flash.

Regarding flash I have now accepted it's fate on BB10 browser.. but what does help is the use of Puffin browser (Andriod App). It works great and while on BlackBerry browser if I run into an error where flash is required I just tap those three dots (overflow menu) and open the page in Puffin..

Puffin, huh? I'll check it out, because Dolphin and firefox with the last flash apk released don't work well with the flash website that I always need to use.

Adobe themselves abandoned mobile flash development in 2011. BlackBerry was the last holdout, but technical issues accumulated to the point that they could no longer keep the old bird running. They will also save on development and licensing fees.

Here is BlackBerry's press release on the matter:

BlackBerry 10 OS has been on the market for the past two years, and we continue to have the highest mobile HTML5 test score. We understand how important web browsing is to you, which is why we have always invested in giving you the best possible web browsing experience.

During this time Adobe has stopped Flash development support for mobile browsers. This is consistent with the shift of mobile web content generally moving towards HTML5. As a result, we can no longer support Adobe Flash beginning with the upcoming software release of BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.1.

We understand this may affect your web browsing experience and are working hard with major partners to lessen the effect this might have.

If you are a web developer, BlackBerry 10 supports a wide variety of media codecs, formats, and network protocols. If you have any questions on implementing video or audio on BlackBerry 10 please head over to our development forum and we will be happy to assist you.

But isn't this without much native apps and also no flash, a suicide for BlackBerry? I mean there is nothing left in the mobile then.

What is BlackBerry to do? They stretched Adobe's mobile flash as long as they could. It's more than 3 years old now!

Photon Browser is the best one.

Don't forget, it's the website that still has flash that doesn't want you to be using your phone.
