    I just got a new 9930 and activated it on Verizon. BIS is working fine. I have email accounts connected and I am logged into my account on BlackBerry World.

    I have a notification that an update is available for BlackBerry ID, but when I try to install the update I get an error message:

    "The software upgrade was interrupted. Please try again."

    I keep trying and get the same error. I've tried battery pulls and security wipes from both the device and BlackBerry Desktop. Nothing has worked.

    BBM will not work without the updated BlackBerry ID software, so I really need to figure this out.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    This happened to me on my new 9900 yesterday.

    I know it's not much help, but this may be related to my issue of BBM contacts/groups not transferring to my new phone.

    I can access my BlackBerry World account just fine and see all the apps I've previously installed, but there is no BlackBerry ID app update available there that I can see.

    I did a search and also viewed all the apps available from BlackBerry.

    My BlackBerry World app updated OTA. Haven't got access to my phone to confirm anything though.

    BlackBerry World is fine. It's BlackBerry ID that's the problem.

    I also tried uninstalling BBM and reinstalling from BlackBerry world, but that didn't help.

    I don't think BBM itself is the problem. BlackBerry ID won't update and BBM is dependent on the updated version of BlackBerry ID.

    Yes, updated to the latest OS and also done a complete wipe via BlackBerry Desktop. Didn't help.

    Nothing, including an hour-long call with BlackBerry Support, fixed the problem.

    Then I tried updating it again early this afternoon and it worked.

    BlackBerry must have done something on their end because I did nothing.
