Anyone here experiencing a reduced battery life in 10.3.0.1052? I purchased my phone a month ago and the original OS was 10.2. I downloaded a 10.3.0.1052 autoloader and installed it 2 weeks after purcahase. I'm using BB Z10 STL 100-1. I'm now thinking of reinstalling/reloading the default 10.2 OS.

Everyday use: light to moderate use of wifi, bbm, browsing and music player. No texts messaging or gaming

100% charged at 7am, drain to 20% at 5pm same day.

Battery life reduced for about 30% from the 10.2 performace.

    Thanks for the response.

With leaks, it's hit and miss with things like battery life, I'm on a Z10 and would say the opposite.

    However, something that may help:

Settings>Advanced Interactions>Flip to save power ON

I've gotten used to keeping my phone face down, does wonders for saving battery life. Given the light usage that should at least helps.

I'm also using that feature. My display is in 10% and 10 seconds screen time out. Are you using STL100-1 also?

Yes because 10.3 isn't optimised for your device, especially Z10s, 10.3.1 will be

My 10.3.1052 battery life is better than it was on 10.2.1 on my Z10, but leaks are inconsistent from one device to another that way

Diagnostics can cause a lot of battery drain. Have you tried switching it off?

Did you perform a security wipe after installing the OS?

I just wanted to chime in.

I'm running 10.3.0.1052 on my Z30 and my battery life is as good or better than it's ever been.

    Cheers.

It's usually a good idea to do one after using an autoloader. Something to do with the OS settling better.

What you have installed is a beta version of an OS that is never going to be released for the device. The OS that will be released for the public will be from the 10.3.1 branch.
That being said, I'm using 10.3 myself and there is nothing majorly wrong with it. Infact, I prefer it. I recommend you try installing it again and performing a security wipe, then try using it. There is no guarantee that the battery life will be better.

At the end of the day, using the official OS would be the least problematic for you. I myself have installed almost every leaked OS available. The choice is yours.

Firstly, OS takes time to settle. If it's been less than a week, let it be. Secondly, you could always try a hard reboot (hold volume up + down key until you see the red LED).
If the problem still isn't solved, reinstall the latest OS (1154) and perform a security wipe after installing.
Switching back to official OS could also solve the issue.

I'm on my phone, so can't give you the links you...but i'll try.

    http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=956896

This is where you'll find the actual OS. There is a link inside this thred on the first post which leads to the Autoloaders. I recommend you use an autoloader and do a security wipe after the install is finished. Remember to do a full backup and sync contacts (separate from backup) with BlackBerry Link software.
There is a way to do a non-destructive install (where you don't lose all your settings and data), but many people (including myself) prefer to only install leaked OSs using Autoloaders, to get a fresh install.
