I got my 9930 from a friend .. BNIB 24k

I gave it to my GF... balato galing sa real estate deals ko haha..
Im kinda biased na towards the 9810 since ive been using a Torch 9800 for over a year now. You'll actually appreciate the screen real estate pag touch screen. Kaya i have this feel na parang kulang sa size yung sa Bold 9900/30 - 08-27-2011, 02:19 AM

at last, i found this forum..
didn't notice this for a long time.. Just a newbie here..
need your help guys.. I've been using my 9700 for almost a year now.. Anyone who can advise me how to activate BIS on my smart? There's no BIS setup on my device, only BES.. I'm thinking that upon registering my 9700 to smart BIS, the email setup will appear.. Could that solve my problem? - 08-31-2011, 12:17 AM #1608
The daily unlimited rates are Php50 for 24 hours and Php300 for one week.
To activate:
Text in “BB DAY” to 2077 for the daily activation.
Text in “BB WEEK” to 2077 for the weekly activation.
The unlimited plan is only allowed for Push Mail and Messaging (Blackberry, YM, Google Talk and MSN). Regular browsing charge will apply when subscriber access the web browser using WAP Smart APN (Smart Internet).
Also, honestly i am a globe subscriber but yes for BIS you need to setup your email (blackberry email) and try to set it up maybe that will do the trick. good luck mate!

Haha, so I met with a friend who had two Torch 2s with him, one silver and one white. I told ze GF about it and wanted the white one. So I got both of them.
What do we do with our week-old 9930? I'll let this board know if we decide to sell it. - 09-01-2011, 02:18 PM #1611

thanks..
my BIS is now fully activated! I tried BB DAY(by the way, i sent it to 2207, not 2077, as i searched it in the smart homepage looking for other data plans) and received the confirmation.. I also clicked activate now in the HRT several times.. I thought it didn't work because nothing happens, but afterwards, i received many service books.. Everything seems working now in my bold.. I opened email setup and showed "initializing application..." wow, that's new to me! And it continued until i completed the setup.. Many new icons also appeared in the homescreen including bbmaps! As i said, all was working, and believe it or not, unlimited browsing is also included in the plan..
i registered the other day, so the data plan was already expired.. The good news is everything is still working as long as i am connected to wifi.. No need for me to register again..
very happy now..

If you're into specs, get 9650. It has 512MB internal RAM while 9700 has only 256MB. But 9700 has more options when it comes to OS upgrades. The latest OS update for 9700 was 6.0.0.650 (and a new one is leaking soon ".666"). Also, take note 9650 is a CDMA unit, I think from Sprint or ATT so better check if it will work but it should.
Here's a comparison 9700 vs 9650

Hope this helps.
Cheers!

if im not mistaken yung gmail works with direct tcp/ip and bis. not sure with bes. baka it policy lang kailangan mo?
or subukan mo LogicMail. Mahusay din na app yun. - 09-08-2011, 03:16 AM

You will not have the servicebooks required for email. It won't work. You'll have to use the browser or some other 3rd party app to pull your email.
