I went to use my VZ navigator GPS function yesterday and got an error message 1026 that VZ navigator was having difficulty finding my current position. This may be due to poor signal or low battery life. Please ensure you are in a Verizon Wireless network coverage area. I had 5 bars on my phone and a full battery and I was in a Verizon coverage area. I spent 2 painful hours on the phone with a Verizon tech who had me go through all the hoops and even re-installed the VZ navigator to no avail. The tech could not figure it out and I may have to get a new phone if I can't fix it. I have had this phone for almost 4 years so I know it is a dinosaur but can anyone help me??

The VZ navigator app may not necessarily be the cause of Error 1026.

You could have asked VZ support after their unsuccessful attempt to transfer you to the BB support desk.

If you have the time, you could reload the OS.
