Goddamn BlackBerry! They had a beautiful opportunity with BlackBerry 10 and they blew it.

You know, the way I found out about BlackBerry 10 was because I did a search on the newest smartphone and this was some of them. I YouTube'd it and fell in love. I saw my first Z10 commercial months after having bought the phone. I got it a few months before I graduated from high school and NOBODY even knew about the Z10. I hot the same shocked expression by everyone followed by "is that a BlackBerry?!" Basically they're advertising sucks. Now, I don't know if that's the reason that BlackBerry 10 wasn't successful, but it sure as **** didn't help.

I leave Crackberry open as an active frame and have it set to sync every 15 minutes. Whenever I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket I quickly check to see what's new. Recently it's been mostly bad news.

I did see on Alec Saunders twitter feed that he had to bail on drinks today because of a "pressing " meeting in Waterloo, so maybe something important is getting ready to happen, or maybe not.

Here's a thought. If they don't or can't survive, does anyone think they'd actually hit that deadline? Or would that be delayed as well? I can see any potential sale being delayed atleast a few times.

Because the only consistent things BlackBerry has done is not communicate anything clearly/concisely and not hit a deadline.

Edit: Imo the single largest embarrassment that will stand out from any other event for BlackBerry is this clusterf... of xbbm. How they are unable to release their own app that they made, with billions in cash and thousands of employees is something that's just insane.

This week no hard news has come. That's why I made this thread. I'm frustrated with BlackBerry's silence. And their vague, never-met pseudo-deadline statements like "within days".

The only thing that I don't love about you is your execution, more apps would be something to complain about too but I know this is not so much of your doing. But being timely on your deadlines are hurting your bottom line and is totally something that you can fix, and if we need to wait, fine,if you are not sure it's the best choice, fine, just don't make us do so in vain (playbook) just keep to your word from now until the rest of your times and you may actually do no wrong, you already have excellence in hardware under your belt

I think the next big news day for BlackBerry is Nov 4th, which is just over 2 weeks away. We will at least know the status of the Fairfax offer and whether or not there are any competing bids for the company.
