John Chen has only been on the job at BlackBerry for a few months, but already he has taken strides towards restoring BlackBerry's credibility with the press... by being open, direct, and funny. Take this joke that he cracked while talking to CNET's Roger Cheng :

Lastly, Chen weighed in on the T-Mobile squabble, in which T-Mobile specifically targeted BlackBerry users in a promotion to switch. BlackBerry fans were quick to criticize Legere, and Chen added his own thoughts in a response.

While the two sides have made up (Chen says their respective chief marketing officers are talking), Chen and Legere haven't met yet. Chen isn't too worried.

"I guess after he and I connect on MySpace we'll be fine," he said.

This was a nod to this tweet by Legere
    :
Was going to engage John Chen on Twitter, but turns out he’s not here. I'll check MySpace. Don’t worry @BlackBerry Something in the works!
Something tells me John Legere would enjoy John Chen's company. I love that Chen doesn't skip a beat when asked to respond to the likes of Legere.

Two rather out-of-the-ordinary CEOs, underdogs in their fields, should make it work together, not fight so the big boys can have a laugh.

Looking forward to some fruitful kick-a++ cooperation, hopefully. :-)

iPhone for me? Scr... ahem Q that! (posted from the latter)

    MySpace?!?!

Another "Out of touch"BlackBerry CEO. BlackBerry will now only have physical keyboards and a MySpace app. No Facebook here!

These two should have a jam session together...

What style? Reggae, Romance, Pop, Doof, Classic(al), House, Hip-Hop...

Yeah, a friendly rap duel... battle of words...
