After reading this article on Fast Company (TV Wars: Inside Roku's Plan To Beat Apple, Amazon, And Google | Fast Company | Business + Innovation), I got to thinking. The former Research in Motion should cover all bases, be a neutral. Using a BlackBerry device is the best way to communicate, whether you are a business user in the enterprise, or a consumer. BlackBerry ought to do for mobile communications as Roku does for streaming TV.

That's what they're trying to do by shifting towards software and services that can run on all platforms. They want to make everyone, regardless of device, a potential paying customer.

Yeah BB10 isn't making the company any money because it's only on phones, which aren't selling. They cannot monetize their OS, so the revenue has to come from the sea of consumers not using BlackBerry phones.

I'd like to see more diversity again.
I'd like to see the return of consumer services once enterprise gets going.
I'd like to be able to buy songs in BBW again.

    ....

And a few more things. But for now let Chen do what he reckons needs to be done. :-D

Me too: I really miss that. The 7digital app is nowhere as convenient.
