A repo = repository where in Cydia (like rock) you can download apps/substrates etc., and it's basically a URL where these files are hosted.
Oh and since you're new to jailbreaking, check my guide on changing SMS tones etc., I posted it in this forum, it explains SSH and a bunch of other stuff - and since you obviously like customizing your phone you might find it useful. | Thanks a lot for the help, I appreciate it. I've gotten all my apps off of Cydia and Rock. I have no idea how to do it from my PC. Infact, i didn't even know it was possible. I just had to restore my iPhone via iTunes because i downloaded a bad package/source and cydia would fail to open. I read many ways to remove Cydia via SSH on the PC but had no idea how to do so. So, I ended up doing a restore and half my purchased apps on itunes failed to come back. What a pain!
