    Didn't Apple get into serious class action lawsuit for exactly this when iTunes debuted after the iPod?! I'm sure my memory serves me well.

    Yes. User don't know what they want or where to get their stuff unless apple holds their hand and does it for them. Glad I have never used iTunes.
