Default verizon iphone killer?
well ill proly get flamed for this but here it goes...
and since i don't want to get anyone in trouble ill censor myself alot right now...

and naturally you SHOULD take this with a grain of salt if it turns out i have uncovered something

and if it's widely known then feel free to lock the thread

well here it goes...
a person i know has informed me a while ago (don't know how long i kept forgetting to make this thread) that verizon will be comming out with an iphone killer, however they also said that it would be comming out THIS holiday season. this person didn't have anything to say about the specs of the phone but "it" did suggest that it has been VERY top secret.

however knowing the internet i doubted that, however i have yet to create a successful google search that has depicted this device.

i have no clue where "it" learned of this device

again "it" was shady on the details but i'm sure i could squeeze some more info out of "it" if i find out this is a new thing

again it's probably just a rumor "it" read on a reply to yahoo answers but who am i to question this?

This thread is vague... and pointless when it comes down to it

Sorry to be rude, but you could not come up with any more details??

I can do the same thing :

"Guess what?! A rumored device someone I know's cousin's uncle told me about is coming out for some carrier in North America, either US or Canada... and it is going to be cooooool! It will be an iPhone, Bold, Javelin and Thunder killa. OMG, it will be so cool it can control your TV, unlock your car, sync with your home PC from anywhere in the world, hold unlimited amounts of media and browse the web at T3 speeds "

but then again why the eff would i care? i hate verizon! att ftw

You could be talking about the LG KC910~ but I dont know if its verizon.
Just google iphone killer....many links come up~thats how I got this one!

They were probably talking about the Thunder. The jury is still out on if it's an iPhone killer or not.

Currently any smartphone that can "Copy and Paste" is an iPhone killer.

Since this CrackBerry, I think the device you might be referring to is the Blackberry Thunder (or Storm depending which site you ask). There are threads with specs and supposed release dates as early as October or be this holiday.


And what is "it" referring to? The device? your informant? Verizon?

That's what Sprint thought they would do with the Instinct.

If the "top secret iPhone killer" is the Thunder... Then your information is not too "top secret".

In my opinion, the only iphone killa is AT&T...well probably Apple since they agreed to only signed with AT&T. As a Mac user, iphone was on the top of my list but since I'm a verizon was so good to me! and the fact that there is no insurance plan on the iphone with AT&T or Apple I went with BB. don't get me wrong, I love my BB.

What is so funny is that everyone is obsessed with this "iphone killer", but yet, everybody wants a theme that looks like the iphone?! Wtf?! It's a phone people!!

I think what IT is trying to say is the iphone killer they will have for the upcoming season will be the BLACKBERRY THUNDER seeing as they are the only ones who will be getting it don't you agree? Dah!!

The Thunder is the first one that came to mind since it's touchscreen and has been rumored to be released around the holiday season.

What Verizon intended on being the iphone killer was the LG Dare
The competition for the iphone was the Samsung instinct and the LG Dare......neither of which I think compares
