If it is 2.2.1, you may have an issue with that. Hopefully Bad Ash can chime in... I'm on my way to work.

You must be on firmware 2.2 or earlier. If you are on 2.2.1 like Duvi mentioned you are stuck. It's a baseband issue and the 2.2.1 firmware updated the radio and that disabled the use of yellowsn0w. So until the Dev Team figures something out, you have no other options. At least with software unlocks.

Ya, I did a lot of search and reading last night (up till 1:00 AM, WOWZA!), and 2.2.1 seems to be a stickler. However from what I remember back when I had my 2G iPhone, the Dev Team usually was able to break the baseband within weeks.
