    hey i recently bought an iphone 2g off craigslist with the intent to use it as an ipod touch. but it only seems to have the screen with the sync cable and itunes logo. after going through the itunes trying to sync it up nothing works. any tips?

    You're in recovery mode. Plug the phone in, wait for iTunes to recognize it. Go to the "Summary" screen and select "Restore."

    You're going to have to activate the phone. You can try Blackra1n or get a phonebook SIM and give it a shot.
