Just read this in the Wall Street Pit Global Market Insight.
Ground Hog just poked his head out of the ground to make a Statement.
"Apple (AAPL) to Begin iPhone 5S Production in March for June/July Launch: Report

In a new research note to clients, Jefferies analyst Peter Misek says recent supply chain checks indicate that Apple (AAPL)’s initial production of the iPhone 5S will begin in March, for a launch in June or July of this fiscal year.

“Our checks indicate that preliminary builds for the iPhone 5S will start in March for a launch in June/July”, Misek writes. “As word of the earlier production schedule starts to spread, we believe we could see a slight slowing of demand CQ1 in anticipation of the new product launch and Apple will likely start curtailing channel inventory.”
I think he should be on the board of directors for Apple.

They announced that the Iphone5s would be a cheaper version on Iphone5.
So another same old phone with a new name.
Can't wait to see in the news all the IApple saying " this is the best phone ever made" lol

They are probably just changing to plastic so they can add NFC and call it a "completely new iphone"

Who "announced" the 5S would be cheaper? Certainly not Apple.

With the recent reduction of iP5 component orders, is it possible that Apple is reacting to the release cycle of 'droid devices and have pushed the iP5S release to be sooner, and maybe it will have a larger / higher resolution screen? So, the made a decision to change the release schedule, which prompted the change in component orders?

If so, I doubt it will be called the iP5S... it would be the 6...

How do you get that Apple announced anything from a headline that refers to Apple in the third person and contains the word "rumored?" I might presume you understand what the phrase "Apple announced" means. I'd obviously be incorrect.

Not sure why Apple would push out another model so fast. They can make it faster, bigger and have NFC but their hardware has always been very good for the most part, it's their OS that now needs a refresher. Without a revamp in their software in the next year or so, the latest and greatest hardware is not going to make me(or a lot of others) jump back. Their sales will slowly decline but they will still sell millions. My diehard iPhone friend who says the GS3 is too big and NFC is useless, is still going to be the first guy in line when a 4.8" NFC iPhone comes to market and just as quickly ditch his supposedly awesome and perfect iP5.

I just can't believe that Apple is sitting on their hands. They must be doing a revamp of the OS and integrating some new stuff. And this new device, I dub "Rocky 6", has certainly been hinted about before now. It may just be some forces trying to spin things and take away focus from RIM on BB10 launch week.
