Lately, perhaps the past month or so, I've noticed that the number of dropped calls I experience has dropped dramatically. I used to get a few everyday. Lately though, I might get one or two a week. I had heard they upgraded the network in New York City, but wasn't sure if they did the same in northern NJ. I'm guessing they did. This is good news for me at least, since my i4 arrived a few days ago waiting to be picked up. Perhaps if I avoid the death grip or death spot, I won't get any dropped calls.
I came back to AT&T in May from VZ and i have to say the network in NYC has improved dramatically. To be honest, the gap between these two has narrowed by a whole lot and there is no doubt AT&T provides faster speeds.
I have never dropped a call with iphone 4 even without the bumper. I am sure you'll enjoy yours.
