| | Reasons to switch to iPhone 4S from iPhone4
Has anyone switched from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S? Happy? Sad? Don't mind wasting money?
I have a iPhone 4 and I don't really see any reason to get a iPhone 4S. The one thing that stands out is obviously Siri but I doubt I'd use it plus if I really wanted it I heard there is a hack to get it onto iPhone 4.
Plus, I was able to get all the updates of iOS 5 without buying a new phone.
Convince me to buy the iPhone 4S or else I'm getting a blackberry! (just poking a little fun at threads about switching from blackberry to something else)

For me it was a no brainer. I had saved an upgrade for a couple of months, so it was just $199, and I sold my i4 for $300. Back to your question, IMO its worth the jump. I take a lot of pictures, and the camera is head and shoulders above any other in the industry, including the i4. It's as clear as my 10MP Canon digital. The processor is uber fast, probably 40% faster than my i4. And of course Siri. It's really is handy when you're driving, and iCloud is pretty handy too. These are my main reasons why I'm totally satisfied with my purchase.

Upgraded camera, faster processor, Siri.
Siri really comes in handy when you're driving, like pilsbury said.

I don't have an upgrade for a while but I did receive an email saying I could upgrade for full-price, definitely didn't seem worth it for me since I'm pretty happy with my iPhone4. Thanks for the feedback

I don't think it's worth an upgrade and not worth paying full price for it if you already have the i4 already. I still have my 4 around and test drove the 4S for a week. Everything is quicker, camera is nicer but definitely not worth the upgrade for the average user. If you use your phone a lot, it maybe worth the upgrade, but I'd save it for the iP5 if I were you(especially since your on the fence) and I'm sure in a few more months, rumors of an iP5 will be resurfacing again.

Several iPhones and Androids in between.

If it was the 5, yes. I can't justify full price for it though when I love my 4 with os5.

Oh! It seems that upgrading would cost a little bit of my payday loans. I like the idea that it is quicker and the camera is more nicer when upgrading is done. Maybe, next month I'll pursue upgrading it. Thanks a lot.

I'm most likely going to wait for the 5. I really like Siri but right now it alone is not enough to make me upgrade. The upgraded hardware is great, but currently my iPhone 4 runs fast enough to the point where the difference will only be really noticeable in benchmarks.
I may pick up the Galaxy Nexus instead for now, but I am still undecided and disappointed with the hardware in that device.

The difference is a matter of seconds, but noticeable. I tried it out with Rage HD and not only did it load a few seconds faster on the 4S the 4 was much more choppy on the video.

The 4S is very impressive, but not impressive enough for me to spend $800 full retail when I have an iPhone 4. If I had an upgrade available right now, that may change the situation.
