Obtaining a micro-sim

I have a normal PAYG sim from Orange. Can they swap it straight away in-store for a micro-sim (same number, credits, etc..) or is there a waiting process?

if you upgrade in the store they should give you a new sim right away with the new device.

if you get the phone yourself through a 3rd party you can ask your carrier for a micro sim but they might charge you. You can also cut it down to size yourself and theres two options for this.

1: get your hands on a sim cutting tool. They can be picked up for about 5 bucks on ebay.

2: use this template and video and a pair of scissors to cut the sim down yourself.
