- Hello All,
This storm1 is my first BB,which is a vast improvement over the 6700 before that.
Now with the great News of VZW getting an iPhone,I have a few questions.
I like to surf the web, look things up, read RSS feeds, blogs, etc.
Being retired business apps not necessary.
My main concern is making calls, texting when necessary, and browsing.
Does the iphone sound like the best choice for me?
VZW= call quality, iPhone= best Browser, hate my text window on the storm, only gives a small line at a time. I hope the iPhone doesn't do this.
Thanks for any insight,

The iPhone definitely sounds like the phone for you. Many of the complaints against the iPhone deal with the business side of it. However, since you are retired you need not worry about these complaints. Go ahead and try the iPhone out for 30 days to see if you like it. I have a feeling you won't be going back to your blackberry.
Regards,
Alex

Once Apple releases a statement then you can prepare for one in my book. But according to your wants and need yea the iPhone would be a good choice for you.03-30-10 02:24 PMLike 0
- Yes it would be a great choice for you. I doubt the iPhone is going to verizon though. Wait until the WWDC keynote from Apple during the summer. There have been rumors of a verizon iPhone every release and they've never been true.

- I switched from Tour (Verizon) to iPhone last week. I am hooked. I was taking a long weekend in Chicago and my friend has a iPhone. I have been a BB user for 5 years and believed that BB's could do all iPhone could do. Well, probably but by looking at how he did all for 5 days, I really felt much difference. iPhone does jobs in much more efficient manner. I needed to make a res for dinner through Opentable. He did all in half minute but my bb was still doing something after 2 mins.
My biggest concerns were AT&T's call quality and coverage. I live in the city but don't live in a huge metropolitan area. It might have something to do with the tower locations and such but I actually think the quality improved with AT&T. I travel to isolated areas in WY and MT once in a while but what I gained from iPhone has been more than that.
And the staff at AT&T store was FAR friendlier than at Verizon in the town, I must say. Every time I went to Verizon, I could really tell them being sick of answering my questions (I bet many ask same questions over and over) but at AT&T, before purchasing it, the rep guy even let me try his phone to show some basic stuff. A tiny thing but it wowed me.
So... I have been using iPhone for over a week and NO regret on switching. Only thing I miss is... Crackberry. I haven't found a good site like here for iPhone yet... all they talk about is iPad now LOL.03-30-10 07:01 PMLike 0 - Just stay on cb friend there are some good iphone knowlegdable users here as well, and there is always some good iphone conversation going on as well.
