Safari has not crashed once for me and I have been running iOS5 since June.

Yes, ipad, not iphone. I don't own an iphone I thought you would have gleaned that from my signature. .. where it says S2.

Yes, I know you have an iPad and S2. You said iOS 5 though. I read that as an iOS 5 problem because you generalized it as iOS5. And you also said you have several iPhones in your house. If one knows your device info, it is pretty easy to think that.
