Does anyone knowbif the purlerain from 3.0 will work with the new apple update?I just updated to the new os and lost my jailbreak. I would like tojailbreak my phone again. Can I use the purplerain version I used on 3.0 or do I have to wait for a updated version of purplerain to come out that is compatible with 3.01? Any help would be appreciated

Will redsnow also unlock my phone? Don't know slot about it.Also will version.08 jailbreak any version of 3.0? So if and when apple comes out with 3.02 will this version of redsnow work on that also

No it will not unlock it, you can use ultrasn0w to unlock it after you jailbreak the iphone using redsnow. You must install Cydia when you jail break the phone to unlock the phone.

RedSn0w reboots the phone as part of the JB, it might reboot twice. It took me about 30 minutes.

Redsnow is the freaking easiest jailbreak ever. Once you get the files, which is a cinch, all you do it hold the home button while plugging it in to your computer and thats it. very easy

Make sure when you resync your files you set up as "New iPhone" instead of "Restore" since the latter apparently leads to horrible battery life.
