My girlfriend had a iphone that she used to use. I was going to try it and when she wiped it now it is stuck with a blank screen with an apple on it. Wont turn off or anything. What is the issue here? We do not have a iphone sim card. Just a BB. That is not the issue though.

I'd say try putting it in DFU mode and then restore via iTunes

To get into DFU Mode:

• Hold the home and power buttons for 10 seconds
• Release the power button but continue to hold the Home button until your iPhone appears in iTunes
• Click restore

Wait a second now. Are you going to be using the iphone on AT&T? If you plan on using the iphone with a sim from another carrier other than at&t then DO NOT just go into itunes and do a restore.Doing so will upgrade the baseband and lock the phone if the iphone had not previously been updated to 3.1.3 then you will want to maintain the 5.11.07 baseband with a custom 3.1.2 restore. Again this is if you plan on ever using that iphone on any other network other than AT&T. Follow this guide Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone 3.1.2 Firmware on Windows | Redmond Pie if you need the phone restored and unlocked/jailbroken. If you dont need it unlocked and jailbroken then go ahead and restore to 3.1.3 stock OS in itunes but if the phone didnt have it before I wouldnt put it on there now. Good Luck
