Iphone with physical keyboard??
Saw the concept for the blackberry 10 phone with a keyboard then started reading the posts of people criticizing it and thought how good or bad would a iphone look with a physical keyboard and would the same people bash it as well. No one has ever taken the time (that I have seen) to create a vision of it. Any thoughts?

i think this more belongs in the iphone forum over the blackberry general. and i doubt apple would stray from their non keyboard design. its worked well for them, i doubt they would change it.

It might be interesting. there are already iphone accessories that add a landscape keyboard, but i've never seen a portrait keyboard on an iPhone

You would be better off asking this question over at "imore". I would be very surprised if anybody here would take the time or have the interest.

According to certain folks on this forum, physical keyboards are SO 1547....why would Apple go backwards?

Apple doesn't want you to have choice. Take it as is or leave it. Doesn't work well for most companies but does for Apple.

There are a number of options available. I tried one of the slider ones (boxwave I think, it got returned 10 mns later), it was awful.
I don't see Apple doing this simply because there is NO demand. Look at all the Android phones lately, no keyboards to be seen. The market has spoken.
Even RIM know this which is why their first BB10 device is full touch, that's where the demand is. They'll release a keyboard (bold type) BB10 device eventually in 2013 to appease the remainder (of which I am one).

I personally don't see Apple ever doing this. I mean, why? The current keyboard in portrait and landscape works well.
