With 2012 estimated corporate-furnished sales of 15.1M for Android and 31.1M for iPhone, it seems both are going to be surpassing RIM in enterprise sales in 2012. Notice this is not BYOD, it's corporate-furnished, meaning the company buys them. The BYOD numbers are much worse for RIM with Android at 87.7M, iPhone at 37.1M, and RIM at 5.2M.

Unfortunately it was inevitable. The other devices just do more (with apps). When the CEO wants an iPhone he gets an iPhone and the company follows suit.

That's EXACTLY what happened at our company. The CEO's Blackberry froze on him during an important phone call. He got PO'ed and told the IT department to switch. Less than 2 months later we all had iPhones. This was about 4 years ago.
