Unhappy iPhone 3g Sounds Setting

Is anyone else having issues with sounds on the iPhone?

None of my text sounds work currently.

It slowly started with the "Tri Tone" sound-

I switched it to another sound- but now NONE of them work.

Yes, I rebooted my phone- several times

Yes, I restored it to factory setting- 3 times

I called the apple hotline- and they directed me to the Apple store.

I don't see why I should have these problems with such a NEW phone-

The original iPhone was far better- and the processor seemed WAYY faster-

Programs don't seem to launch as fast and feel "choppy".

I'm frustrated.

I think it's just you. I have none of those issues. I can't confirm it since I never looked it up but I read the 3g has a faster processor, I assumed it would be the same.

Same processor. It may be you or you might have 202029373625464735 apps on your device. Can't compare that to the 1st gen without apps on it.

I would say to get it replaced, but a shortage is going to keep you from getting that, lol.

I definitely dont have 202029373625464735 apps- lol

I only have Super Monkey Ball, Yellow Pages Mobile, and Tap Tap Revenge-

I googled it- and it seems others are having this issue-

I'm definitely getting it replaced-

ASAP

I was having problems with my sounds until I realized that I had the sounds turned off on the side! I didn't know that button was there. Feel like such a dummy when I found it!

Unhappy Wait!

I'm having the SAME problem with my iPHone 3G and I'm pissed. I can't find any explination. (Mine didn't do this until I updated itunes to it's current version, then I noticed it just vibrated when I pluged in my iphone instead of one of the cool sounds.

I checked my settings and ll the sounds are turned ON.

I checked the RINGER bar on the side and there's no problems there.

So PLEASE HELP US!!!

It's firmware 2.0 related. The iPhone 3G is identical to the first iPhone on a hardware front for everything outside of the GPS and the 3G chip. I know that doesn't make it any better, but you can either get it replaced or hold off a couple more weeks until the rumored release of 2.1.
