Refurbished iPhones tend to be as good and sometimes better than new ones. You shouldn't be worried at all.

Ditto to savioAMG. But, what about just getting the 3GS? Is there no discount offered on that device?

Refurbs are tested so thats the plus side!
On the seventh day, god did rest but he got bored, so he created CrackBerry. All was right in the world. - 07-26-2009, 09:01 AM #5
with my employer the 8gb refurb is also $49. Something else you need to check is the contract pricing. My prices do not go up if I take contract pricing down to only 1yr. So an 8gb iphone 3g for $49 w/ a 1yr contract is pretty darn good.
Why can't I just pull the trigger?? - 07-26-2009, 11:13 AM #7
refubs are great, and apple refurbs are even better

$50 for an iPhone is a steal. refurbs are better than new imo. They are run thru alot of test before they are put back on the market. i've had my refurb for 7 months now with NO issues. my friends exchanged his new one twice already in that same time.

I wonder if they will go any lower or is this it. That was a quick jump from $99. to $49. I have a picked up a Blackberry Curve a year or so ago Referb on an upgraded for around $30. I Believe and about a month or two later they had the referbs for free.
