What are your thoughts on iOS 7?

Mines are that they have basically copied bits and bobs from BlackBerry 10, Android, Google and features from Jailbreak stuff.

Other than that the UI looks nice and has other good features but nothing revolutionary.

From the description of functioning it sounds like our OS, but it looks like a flatter Android (I hate flat design).

I think it's beautiful actually, and they've implemented the swiping multitasking app switcher from PlayBook and WebOS which is nice. That control center thing is also something that iOS desperately needed.

Still, BB10 has the Hub. It has the keyboard. For me, that still puts it ahead. But there is no doubt in my mind that iOS 7 is a big step forward for Apple phones.

They copied that flat design from Windows Phone.

It really looks like they took bits and pieces from all the other phones. Nothing that makes me say ... wow

iOS 7 was nothing but a cosmetic change in my mind. Everything else they implemented was playing catch up. i.e better multitasking, control center, radio, apple cards, iWork in cloud. All things in place in other systems / apps

Still none the less come this fall it'll be installed on the gf's iDevice's and I'll play with it and sure it'll impress me on the cosmetic end, could never sway me.from bb

They've copied heavily from others operating systems and third party apps. Nothing to see here.

Apple took all the features others had and made them better. This is not good for the rest. Amazing work

I think iOS 7 looks great. May get an iPod Touch so that I can have that and BB10. I don't personally need two phones, and the only difference between iPod and iPhone in my mind is the call and text features, which my Z10 handle quite well.

Brilliant innovation from Apple, the other platforms could learn a thing or two.

One feature I liked was the anti theft one completely locks the phone so only way to unlock it would be to input apple id and password

Don't worry, at least we know there's one thing they won't copy from BlackBerry: their ineptitude at persuasively marketing the features and improvements.

Laughed at the Multi-tasking too. So much like the current PB multi-tasking, which in itself was a take on WebOS's.

Of all the feature enhancements that I actually liked just for cosmetics (taking a page from you Kris) the index-card style tabbed browsing display was neat, but only from an aesthetic point of view. Don't see it as anything more than a glamorous way of moving between open pages. And when it comes down to how I want to move between tabs, I'd rather have it static like BB currently implements so it's easier to move/find.
