So....if I'm using a BlackBerry as my PHONE....but I have an iPod and an iPad....when my friends send me a text message from their iPhones, where will I receive it?
iMessage says it goes from iOS 5 user to iOS 5 user. Will I not receive it on my BlackBerry?
Your iPod and and iPad will be registered to iMessage based on our email. iMessage from IOS to IOS device is automatic. If someone sends you a text to your phone number from an iPhone you will get it on your BB. If they use your email to send you a SMS on their iPhone it will come to your iOS5 devices.......
I just rebooted phone, and restarted my computer, plugged in, and it did a restore/backup right off the bat, and downloaded the current version. So, I'm good. Now, what should I be doing or looking for with all these new changes?
just did it...didn't work. ugh. i guess i'll wait til 3 am to do it...this is so frustrating.
From what I'm reading, it's just the crush on the servers. Keep trying, or wait a bit. Sorry you're having issues. Mine crashed initially, but after I rebooted the phone and computer, it actually restored my phone from previous backup automatically, and insalled iOS5. I don't think it did it the way others are doing, just "updating." When I tried that, it updated, then during the second backup, error message. I feel like I fell into the update, but it's on the phone now.
I really wish I had the 4S now though. I just won't pay that much off contract, and the price of the Iphone4 is going to drop quite a bit, I'd think. I won't pay $300 or $400 difference, just won't!
Got home, hooked up the old iPad, finished in about 10 minutes. Don't know what I think yet, browser interface is different taking time to get used to. Oh, and seems faster.

Browser on my iPad 2 definitely seems to render pages quicker.
