OK, so I did the OTA 5.0.1 patch this morning on both my iPhone 4 and my iPad 2.
And...?
Way too early to tell if it has done anything about battery issues - but I didn't seem to have an issue with the OS5 upgrade on that front - still was able to get thru a full day of phone, app and data use with no change in my settings - so hard to judge.
mine has been on since 7 am. it's 8:30 pm and I'm at 78%. truth is I hardly talked, surfed for less than 15 mins but got my regular full day of emails. hardly a heavy day but still-- 78%. wow!!

iPinkk, I'm draining my battery today as well since I haven't done that since I got the phone last month.

Well, i actually did this last Friday night when i first got my iphone because the batt right off the bat wasnt great. But now since the iOS update, i feel it would be useful to do it again, and then start my month cycle from there
Mines been pretty bad but I can from a i4 backup that was jailbroken on 4.3.3 maybe the jailbreak for me was causing issues, the diagnostics that they had on the phone was stellar, you could see what apps crashed and all kinds of cool sh*t ... I wonder if it'll show jailbreaks too now... hmmmmm
I've been running it all day as my main phone. Emailing, talking, streaming audio to my car etc. Batt is performing well but not any better than before. For ME, turning off the raise to talk, and the auto time zone thing a while back is what made my batt great.

My battery is fine and I'm still on 5.0. It was horrible before I let it die down to 0 and did a full recharge. I left it off the charger last night and it only decrease 3% or so in 8 hours. I'm staying away from 5.0.1 for now. I'd hate for my battery life to worsen.
