Default iOS 5.0.1 - Big fat hairy deal?

OK, so I did the OTA 5.0.1 patch this morning on both my iPhone 4 and my iPad 2.

And...?

Way too early to tell if it has done anything about battery issues - but I didn't seem to have an issue with the OS5 upgrade on that front - still was able to get thru a full day of phone, app and data use with no change in my settings - so hard to judge.

As for anything else - was there anything else?

Patched the security hole that was discovered by the iOS developer; tweaked a few things for Australian voice Siri

Yeah, I feel like my 4S is draining faster on 5.0.1 compared to 5.0

iOS 5 to iOS 5.0.1 has not made my battery any better. On a 4S.

I wasn't experiencing any of the quick draining. I had really good battery life. 5.0.1 hasn't helped it. If anything, it seems a little worse now.

Mine feels the same, to be honest. I didn't have a major battery issue to begin with, though.

i think i'm with you on this. One iOS5 i was doing ok--4/5h usage and 15h standby.

so far this morning off charger @730 with 46m usage and 1h31m stand by and i'm down to 87% already !!

i think i'm gonna drain my batt today till it shuts down completely and do a whole fresh charge on it to see if that helps

Well, i actually did this last Friday night when i first got my iphone because the batt right off the bat wasnt great. But now since the iOS update, i feel it would be useful to do it again, and then start my month cycle from there

Same here mostly, I did see a 10% or so increase in battery life.

No change. Battery life changes as the wind blows. But I feel better knowing the security exploit was patched.

Mines been pretty bad but I can from a i4 backup that was jailbroken on 4.3.3 maybe the jailbreak for me was causing issues, the diagnostics that they had on the phone was stellar, you could see what apps crashed and all kinds of cool sh*t ... I wonder if it'll show jailbreaks too now... hmmmmm
