Hi. I recently bought an iPhone 3GS. I don't see it in the options, but I'm trying to set a ringtone instead of the default noise for when I receive text messages and emails and maybe even voicemails. I can only choose from the default sounds. It allows me to set a ringtone for when the phone rings.

    Any help would be grateful.

    BTW: Unjailbroken! I'm on 3.1. :/

You have to be jailbroken, because you need root access to the phones file system. Since you are a 3GS with 3.1, you are screwed right now.

What is that? What is jail broken on the iPhone and how does one perform such a task?
