Default Caller ID Issues?

This may have been discussed before but I seem to be having issues with my caller ID. It shows the phone number but won't show the name. Most of these people are in my phone book so it should show the name.

Is there a quick setting to make this happen? I seem to remember that it was working properly before but now it's not. Caller ID seems to work, it's just not showing the names.

mikos, try in this thread that AccidentalPost started on the same issue sounds like your having. I didn't read through it thoroughly but I believe it has something to with the "1" in front of the number stored in the contact.

Issue with contacts.......

Hope it'll help you out

I looked at that but it may not be the issue. I use Exchange for my contacts and almost none of them have the leading one. I checked the records in my phone, same thing, no leading one.

Strange that this just started happening...

Ok, I found the fix at it was flawless and painless. Those former BB Verizon users will appreciate this, it was a *228 option 1 fix. Seems it was a carrier problem, no format issues or other things.

Seems some things never change regardless of which smartphone you are on. When in doubt, you can *228, wipe/reinstall, or reboot. I guess my BB skills will still come in handy over on the iPhone

Yep *228 is another option especially if you have international assist turned on....
