Question Bought an iPad2 for the parents for xmas

Well, I just bought an iPad 2 for my parents for xmas. They are not tech savvy and I figured the iPad 2 would be good for them to do there banking, reading news papers etc.

Well as I was setting it up for them I noticed one thing I didn't realize. The banking and other applications which are iPhone applications are show as if they are being viewed on an iPhone screen.

Well they have the "2x" zoom button available, so for banking apps I'll have to tell them to do that. But I'd rather load the iPhone with some iPad certified applications.

So, are there any applications that are build for the iPad that you would recommend or use and cannot be without?

Thx in advance...

In the app store, just use the iPad filter to see iPad apps. Most major banks have apps for both, I know Citi does.

I'm not sure any of the major Canadian banks have got an iPad version of their app, yet. Sloppy and slow off the mark, I know - but the iPhone version will work in the interim.

CIBC, unfortunately it isn't the iPad full screen version. I have the iPhone version installed however...

Guess I am looking for applications that are must haves on the iPad. Something that you will say "If you have an iPad you should have x"....

I know it's really subjective, but when I owned the iPhone I would tell everyone to get shoutcast (already installed on the iPad )...

Unless companies are wanting to make an iPad app stuck with the iPhone version.. It konda defeats the purpose sometimes when you have a browser on an almost 10" tablet lol
