im looking to maybe buying a used 2g iphone on ebay that maybe needs some tlc. they can be really cheap now. what is a good site that sells good parts for the iphone??

the 2g can run the new OS 3.0 right?

if you mean 2g by the means of edge then they can run 3.0 but will lack the ability for mms and video if im not mistaken. I could be wrong but that what i had read a while back.

I've read that too. If you do 3.0 on the 2G you WILL NOT get MMS. I'm not 100% positive on the video. I updated my 3G t0 3.0 and can't get video so I'm pretty sure 2G won't be able to get it either.
