    I don't think so. Even the NY Times is reporting that Google is the one doing the acquiring.

    I think if I were associated with Waze, I would kill myself before I allowed Waze to become a part of the godawfulness that is Apple Maps.

    No, if your service provider was part of that program, they'd provide phone logs etc, even if you were using a blackberry.

    The difference is that unlike Microsoft, Google, and Apple, it doesn't appear that blackberry was specifically participating in this program. So bbms and anything else going through bis would not get tracked, I would think
