    have any of you heard of the new 3gs overheating, i am planning on buying one but i dont know if i should wait till they get this sorted out, if it is even a real big problem....

    Yes, there are tons of articles documenting this with pictures as well.

    The white ones turn pink-ish.

    It's not a big problem, of the million+ 3GS phones sold there have been like 4 unconfirmed reports of them overheating. Get one, you'll be fine. The pictures of the cases changing color was debunked in a number of articles. The discoloration was due to 3rd party cases. The marks shown in the pictures were rubbed off with rubbing alcohol.

    Yes you do.

    If you can't afford it, wait until you can.

    It's TOTALLY worth it.

    My first charge was a little warm, no cause for concern. It's been fine, no overheating at all.

    No reason to wait, this issue affects all phones, with the iPhone which sells over a million in a week there's bound to be a handful of unconfirmed and confirmed problems. The chances of getting a defect are relatively small.
