200 MB on iPhone

How much data is 200 MB for an iPhone?

My wife is getting this and I was thinking she is going to go over but wasn't sure.

She will do emails and surf the web.

Thoughts?

200 on iPhone is pretty small..

I use that much.. on a BlackBerry.

If you are using Wi-Fi constantly and don't use your phone for much data-wise, it is possible.

If she plans on using the internet -- apps like Facebook and Twitter use internet -- more than 15 minutes a day + email and she isn't on wifi most of the time, it probably won't be enough. 200MB isn't much, but that how data works; carriers offer what would be too little for most users for really cheap, and then the only step up is usually more data than most people need for a pretty big yet under-proportioned jump in price. Carriers always screw customers with stuff like that.

I would suggest paying the extra $10 and going for 2GB. She will burn up 200 MB very quickly and then they'll tack on an extra $10 for every GB used. I have the 2 GB plan and I'm on mine ALL day at work and have never gone over.

My first iPhone, I've had it two weeks and am pushing 4GB already on Sprints slow 3G. I don't see 200mb being enough for anyone.
