You need to have the phone working for everyone first before you get new features.

Never going to happen (unless hacked.) Push Notification, Yes. This is as good, if not better than running in the background. I rather know I have the messages waiting then have constant restarts for background apps not quiting.

You might as well give that up now. This is not being implemented from what was released.
