Hello everyone, I have two ideas for apps that I would like to get started developing but I'm not sure where to begin. The ideas are posted below. Please tell me how useful you think they may be.
Keep in mind that the names will probably change.
Clean House: Deletes all call logs, SMS messages, MMS messages, emails, web browsing history, Voice Mails, clears all active chats in BBM and finishes up by locking the phone.
Note: This application would not touch your contacts, settings, etc. Naturally, the user should be able to choose what they do or do not want to be deleted.
SIM-SYNC:
The RIM OS allows the user to write contacts to the SIM card on a one-by-one basis. I'd like to take advantage of this by designing some sort of Macro that would do it all in one go. Also, this application would allows users to clear the SIM card completely.
Now what exactly do I need to do to know started? I would like to use he NetBeans IDE but if I have to use Eclipse I will. Are there any virtual devices for the RIM OS? I have developed applications for the android platform (never released them though) and I'm wondering if writing for the Blacberry is at all similar.
